Apologies for the audio quality. We have a new setup and we are tweaking them. We hope you are still blessed by the sermon. This sermon explored how the Holy Spirit empowers us to live out our God-given identity. From creation to Jesus’ ministry, the Spirit has always guided, refined, and strengthened God’s people. We looked at Jesus’ baptism and temptation (Luke 3–4), where the Spirit led Him into the wilderness—not for comfort, but for testing that confirmed His identity. Like Jesus, we face lies that

he enduring, persevering, and extravagant love of God is personified in Jesus Christ. This is amplified in his death and resurrection in a way that announces something important; everything has changed. And then - quietly - everything did change. So what does that mean for us now? And what if I can't see or feel it? C

This Easter message explored how Peter and Judas, both close followers of Jesus, responded to their personal failures. While Judas isolated himself in guilt after betraying Jesus, Peter ran back to Jesus after denying Him and received grace and a new calling. The sermon challenged us to examine our own expectations of Jesus, to recognise that the cross is not a place of judgment but of forgiveness and new life, and to embrace community and God's ongoing work in our lives - even in our shortcomings. esus demands the question of his disciples: “Who do you say I am?”. Jesus spends his whole ministry being rejected, misunderstood and plotted against as his identity as Messiah is pulled apart and disputed. But on that day when he is finally put to death and the religious leaders are free of him, the truth of who he is settles on an unsuspecting Roman soldier who declares earnestly that “Surely this man was the Son of God.” Mark 16:33-39 show us the impact of Jesus’ death on the immediate surroundings and t

Hello and welcome to our church. If you are a new visitor, we have a page for you to get to know us and learn more about planning a visit.

Planning your Visit

Welcome

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 11:00am. There is plenty of free parking available on street or at our car park, or we're right next to the Salcombe Gardens bus stop on the 221. You can come a little earlier to get a free coffee and pastry, and to meet some of our welcome team.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access via our car park entrance on Pursley Road, or via the community garden on Salcombe Gardens. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There are disabled toilets in the main foyer.

Our Service

The main service begins at 11am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of sung worship, led by our band. We typically have 3 or 4 songs lasting approximately 20 minutes. We will spend time praying together, listening to what God might be saying.  This might seem strange the first time you hear it but it’s all part of our connecting with God. We then share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. We then have a talk, looking at what faith and following Jesus looks like today. We then finish with a time of worshipping and responding to God.

Growing together

We have a great programme lined up for kids  and youth. During term time we have Tots church (2-4s) and Kids church (4-11s) where our kids can make friends and explore faith through stories, songs and creative fun. This runs through all the service most of the time, apart from where we share Family Communion or have All Age Worship.  We're a pretty relaxed and messy church, so babies and younger kids can make themselves at home in the soft play during the service.

Our Youth Church (11-16s) runs after the worship, and involves lots of snacks, games and discussion. We have an active Young Adults Group as part of our small groups, and activities for Seniors and everything in-between, so there is space for everyone to make friends and grow together.

Getting Connected

Small Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends and grow together. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, some afternoons and some evenings. Check out Small Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.
